The St. Louis Civic Orchestra is composed of musicians in the St. Louis metro area. The main auditions for the Civic are held each fall, but we also hold auditions throughout the year, as needed. The Civic provides a good performance outlet for the serious musician and accomplished amateur alike.

Auditions for the 2021-22 season will take place on Tuesday, August 24th, 6:30 PM at St Paul’s Evangelical Church, located at 9801 Olive Blvd, Saint Louis, MO 63141. Social distancing will be observed and masks will be worn among a small music committee observing the auditions.

We are especially looking for musicians in the following areas:

  • Principal 2nd Violin
  • Principal Cello
  • Principal French Horn
  • Principal Trombone
  • French Horn (section)
  • Strings (all sections – Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass)

Interested musicians should contact Jeanne Lambson, the orchestra administrator.  Please prepare the excerpts found below.  Pianists that are interested should contact Jeanne and expect to receive audition requirements by email. If you are auditioning for a principal position, please also prepare one movement of a solo work.
