The St. Louis Civic Orchestra is composed of musicians from the St. Louis metro area. We rehearse Tuesday nights September through April from 7:30 to 9:30 at the Parkway South High School Orchestra Room at 801 Hanna Rd, Manchester, MO 63021.
Main auditions for the Civic are held each fall, but we also hold auditions throughout the year, as needed. The Civic provides a good performance outlet for serious musicians and accomplished amateurs alike.
We are especially looking for musicians in the following areas:
- Strings, (all sections – Violin, Viola, Cello, and especially Double Bass)
- Percussion
- Sublist (while there may not be specific openings, all instruments are welcome to audition)

Pianists who are interested should contact Jennifer and expect to receive audition requirements by email. If you are auditioning for a principal position, please also prepare one movement of a solo work.
