LOUIS<\/strong> \u2013 The St. Louis Civic Orchestra is proud to present\nits last concert of the\n2018-2019 season \u2013 the Annual\nFree Outdoor Pops Concert<\/strong> \u2013 on Thursday, May 16 at 6:30 pm at Chesterfield\nAmphitheater, located at 631\nVeterans Place Drive, Chesterfield, MO 63017-0760. The Civic is pleased to welcome special guests, Miss Jubilee.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Civic will perform a\nset of orchestral jazz; Miss Jubilee will perform a set, and the groups will\nperform together with original orchestration by Civic board member and composer\nSam Golden to the following songs \u2013 \u201c<\/em><\/strong>The\nMan I Love\u201d<\/em><\/strong> by George Gershwin<\/strong>, \u201cBlue\nMoon\u201d<\/em><\/strong> by Rodgers\/Hart<\/strong>, \u201cMy\nBlue Heaven\u201d<\/em><\/strong> by Walter\nDonaldson\/George Whiting<\/strong>, and \u201cStay On the Right Side of the Road\u201d<\/em><\/strong>\nby Al Bowlly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miss Jubilee has been entertaining\naudiences in St. Louis and beyond since 2007.  Led by powerhouse\nvocalist Valerie Kirchhoff, Miss Jubilee plays an\nenergetic blend of Hot Jazz, Hokum, and Low-Down Blues from the 1920s and\n30s. Since its formation, Miss Jubilee\u2019s reputation has grown to make her one\nof the most sought after and recognizable singers in St. Louis and the greater\nregion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                                                                                                                                            According to Larry Levin, President of the St. Louis Civic Orchestra, \u201cWe\u2019re so pleased to partner with Miss Jubilee – the group\u2019s reputation has grown to make them a favorite for fans of all ages. We hope that the Civic\u2019s collaboration with Miss Jubilee will bring audiences together to celebrate collaborations between symphonic and other genres of music like classic jazz, which our fans and supporters truly enjoy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most concerts take place at Logan University\u2019s Purser\nCenter, with their annual May Pops Concert taking place at the Chesterfield\nAmphitheater in Chesterfield, Missouri.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Board President Levin adds, \u201cThe St.\nLouis Civic Orchestra was the very first ensemble to perform at the Chesterfield\nAmphitheater, and we have performed every May since its opening almost a decade\nago.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
